The perfect way to describe my feeling at work this morning.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my job! I really do… BUT the way the social care system is in the UK at the moment, it is so hard to achieve anything. I understand that we are lucky to be in a country where people with all manner of disabilities are cared for and represented (To an extent) but I can’t help feeling, I am not alone in this, that the odds are against us. I care for 3 adults with learning disabilities, I have been working with them for about 5 years now and we have a great bond and understanding of each other. I want nothing more than to see them accomplish and achieve in life but every. Single. Step. Is made almost impossible by the Bullsh*t from “professionals” in the local council and health system.
I understand there is no money to pump into social care.

I understand we are not a priority.

This doesn’t make me any less upset that we can’t achieve our potential, be it in my job role or their life skills.

Rant over.
